Some of McDavids cards from Ultimate state game used, some state event used... does anyone know if the game used is a correct statement or were they just mislabeled?
Question about Connor McDavid UD Ultimate jersey cards.

I believe his 2015-16 Ultimate cards would all contain rookie event/photo shoot material. Anything after his rookie year would be game used.

I haven't seen any McD 15-16 Ultimate with Game Used rookie material (not stating this definitively). However, 15-16 Cup McD Limited Logos contains game used rookie memorabilia. Other cards like his #/99 ARP, Foundations #/5, Emblems of Endorsement #/15 and Signature Patch and Exquisite ARP and inserts are not GU rookie memorabilia.

The only McDavid game used rookie cards out there are Cup Limited Logos /50 and Premier Mega Patch Chest Logos /20 Sleeve Numbers /7.

Good info. I saw the Premier Mega Patch Chest Logos were GU. Premier made some great looking cards!

Has UD confirmed they were actually game used and not just mislabeled? It would seem odd to have rookie year cards with actual game used material due to time constraints, and those types of labeling errors have been made in the past.

UD did confirm for me on Twitter that the cards that state game used are really game used.

They have done this in the past too. Most of Crosby's memorabilia cards in 05/06 UD Ultimate are game used. I think Panini did it with MacKinnon too. It happens, but sadly is rare.

That's my guess as to what happened. Why would they put game-used jerseys only in Limited Logos? That isn't the most coveted card. And they are able to get game-used into Premier Mega Patch cards, but those aren't signed.

They are generally sets released towards the end of the calendar year, sometimes the next hockey season has already started by release date. Hence they have more time to incorporate a gamer into those sets.
