Sell value of this: 99/00 SOTT GOLD Yzerman #/25

Hi All

I am looking for opinions!
I know there are almost no comps - but just looking for opinions

Sorry Bruce - I am so far out of touch with the current hockey card, autograph and Yzerman market I can't help you beyond looking at comps... but if I were to look at various Yzerman autos sold on ebay, none of which are this vintage but some of which are that scarce, I'd say in the $250 to $300 range, which includes a lot of personal nostalgia for those 99/00/01 sets.

What ever someone is willing to pay. I'd look up comparable players from this set and see what they sell for. Hard to compare apples to apples with this nice patch, but if you feel the offer on the table is fair, then that's a good way to go about it. Win-win for both sides.

The #19/25 version of this card in a PSA 7 sold in February 2024 for $765US. Other comps are a PSA 9 in March 2024 for $431US, and then raw copies for $365US in March 2024, and $381US March 2025. All of these comps were auctions, so high bidder may have been willing to pay more too.

As a Red Wings collector I would say an easy $250 USD today. Before the Pandemic it could float around for $150-$180 USD but should be more.

It could also sell for a cool $400+ USD in the right setting, crowd, day, mood, etc. These cards have a pretty wide range of up to a couple hundred dollars nowadays. I see it much more often these days a differential of $200 on the same card from week-week or month-month for any of the retired stars like Yzerman, Lemieux, Lindros, Brodeur, Selanne etc as well as rookie like Michkov, Celebrini, Bedard.

A lot of people in the replies were commenting on the patch in your signature, not the linked Auto /25.

What range did you end up getting for it?

Also curious to hear what you got for it. I pulled the Orr /25 back in like 2005 ish, have had it in the PC ever since!

Must be someone had been looking for that card to complete a set for some time to get $700. Makes my recent Bobby Orr sales look like crap. Although he does sign a lot ...

Good job on the sale!

What did you sell Orr for?

Bruce,
If you're selling a lot of the old Yzerman stuff you should just get a subscription. It will set you back but at least you can truly get a solid number of past sales over the years. Especially, on the rarer stuff that only sells when it is offered occasionally. Always nice to have some comps to compare it to. I assume burebuyer is using card ladder or terapeak for data. It is worth it in the long run and especially speeds up the process when folks inquire about cards instead of asking on every card for comps. I know you have a ton of stuff over there the last 30 plus years.

I did not have a Bobby Orr version of this card, but I think I sold an SOTT Orr/Bouwmeester for under $100 CAD. Also sold another Orr auto for like $170. Just horrendous sales. I don't understand how 6000+ 100% feedback on feeBay yields me such crap results, been top-rated, or so they say, for like a decade. Just pure rubbish.

Update

We actually switched the card sale.
instead of the 99/00 GOLD SOTT - we changed it to the 98/99 GOLD SOTT
Along with a few other rare Yzerman Autos's.
Same Price

In response to a few comments - you really cannot compare the regular SOTT Orr/Bouwmeester to the #'ed GOLD version of the singles.
The Jersey numbered Gold versions have a dual collector's want - either set builder or player collector. And when you are talking about
19 versions of an autograph that makes it even harder to add to your collection.
