SHOW OFF Sick cards of the Hobby/NHL's biggest busts

This is a fun thread! I'll raise you his big brother:

I'm fairly certain this was the inception of the serial numbered, autographed rookie card. What a disappointment!

Good point! 1998-99 SPx Top Prospects had the Sedins as autos but those we're not actual rookie cards. I couldn't think of any other set that would've have rookie autos prior to 1999-00 SPx.

Paging Gilbert Brule…Mr Yashin would like to see you…

I would post them, but the pair served a short term sentence in a bird cage, many years ago!

When I first saw this thread this card came to mind..

I cannot remember what it was selling for though. Plus before he even had his first Philadelphia Flyers card he still had a few other minor league cards.

I remember this card the and the UD team Canada one was quite sought after. Too bad there were a billion copies of each printed.

Nothing super crazy, but just picked this up recently:

Was a big fan of his when he broke into the league. He was the next big thing at the time with his stellar rookie year. His cards went for good dollars.

Yeah, i was a fan of him after his rookie year....

One of my worst was a Johnathan Cheechoo patch of 10
A really sweet 4 color sharks patch. Booked about $150 early after release.
Felt lucky to trade it for $30 a year later.
