First, ho-hum, just a Cup Gold Rookie Auto Patch. Love this set, so glad there was a Wild player in it. I only wish the Gaborik in the new Tribute set was as a Wild player, I would have gotten that instead. Like the other guy that purchased from the same seller, the card was cropped and the corner was jacked:

On to the meat. When I signed up on the site and saw this in THE Gaborik collectors' photobucket, I figured it was untouchable... But it can never hurt to ask. And after upping my offer three or four times, I was finally able to dissuade him. I will say, it am astonished that I was able to bring myself to pay it, but I love the card and have always wished I have it. Now, thanks to Curt, I do:

Dude that bought the Lundqvist Gold from that seller also had jacked corners.

He finally offered me a $20 partial refund on the Ward, I took it as it was better than nothing and didn't want to return the card. Hopefully you can get some $ back too.

As for the Shield, awesome addition, and yeah what did you do to persuade Curt lol. Congrats!

I remember opening my one and only case of 2005-06 The Cup and pulling the redemption card of that gold Koivu ARP. My patch looked about the same (traded it long ago).

And what can I say about the Shield card.........tough card to let go, but hey....you were relentless. :devil:
