SSHHHHH! Head's Up on 05-06 UD Series II

Well!

I happened to Wayne's Sports cards here in Edmonton today! And was privy to a conversation between the shop owner (Wayne) & Universal Distributors outta Quebec. I was informed that it has been confirmed! Hence the post!

It would appear that Upper Deck has in fact been listening to the collecting public!

Anyways, 05-06 UD II will include a one per pack Rookie of UD Victory. Seein as the majority of us treat Victory & the like as a inexpensive rip to tide us over until UD I shows up. Also, as in the past UD II has pretty well been a dog. That is most years. This might garner some further interest.

Thoughts?

Maybe it will be a redemption card for a UD Victory Rookie, that would be really swell :rolleyes: :p

Neat enough concept I guess, doesn't really add much value to the product overall as Victory is not anything special, but better than a kick in the groin.

What does UD II have to do with Victory?

They are going to put Victory RCs in UDII? Why?
 
I like to collect the yg's that are out there. If these cards are going tobe inserted as one of the 10 or 12 that come in a pack then I will be upset, and will only buy yg's off of ebay. I refuse to pay 70-100 / box and get a bunch of Victory cards that I don't collect.

So they are going to insert Victory RCs into regular UD product? Why?

Is UDII going to be only RCs?
 
I assume they mean new RCS (not part of the original victory set), which will be more like an update set? Because of the early release date of victory, it may not have all the top RCs. I could be wrong, knowing upper deck, they will be Bassmasters and UD Poker Rookies

always hate when companies cross-promote their products, but it's nothing new when you consider Pacific and UD Rookie Update products in the past. For a set collector like me there's too much temptation to start a product I initially wasn't going to...
