OK, so those of you who have been dealing with me probably noticed I've been slow to reply to PMs, and shipping is behind. Here's what's up.
1- Basically, since I moved into my girlfriend's house, I've been moving stuff around between here and my parent's place, so I have half my cards here, half at my parents.
2- I left my scanner at my parents, and I'm having an EXTREME amount of trouble setting up the girlfriend's scanner to my computer (personally, I blame Vista)
3- I've been buying so much random stuff, I can't even keep my tradelist up to date right now.
4- I've recently given my 2 weeks notice (and simultaniously vowed NEVER to work in a restaurant again)at work and have been trying to find a job before school starts.
So basically, all this translates to me not being able to fully commit to hockey cards right now (or at least not do it right). But have no fear, I have a plan! (Always wanted to say that). Here it is.
For the next little while, I am stopping all trading. I've sent out the last few of my packages, and if we're in the process of working out a deal, I will finish it, but no more new trades as of now. I will still be on to chat it up, look at Show and Tell threads, etc. Before I can start trading again I've set myself up a little step plan:
1- Organize everything and bring it to one spot: Likely my parents, since I have a working scanner, an old bedroom they don't use, and storage space (plus it would make my girlfriend happy to not see any more hockey cards lying around).
2- Complete my tradelists: While I have kept my Autos, GU and RCs up to date, I haven't touched my inserts tradelist in about 3 months! I have TONS more, plus I have a bunch of McDonald's, Oddballs, Jumbos, etc. etc. etc. etc. that I've been itching to add for a while now, basically, anything I've collected over the years (including TONS of fan pack stuff and food issues from my youth) that isn't Leaf-related will be up for grabs.
3- MAYBE, get a photobucket back up and running: I know how much you all hate lists. I hate 'em too, but in my situation, it was the only option. What I'm hoping to do is have ALL of my traders in a pretty little picture format.
4- Start up the blog idea again: I've signed up for a new email account [email protected], and will be starting a blog regarding the hobby, TTMs, collecting and sports in general. I've wanted to do this for a while and this will give me something a little more productive to do in my late-night can't sleep phases other than playing Peggle and Text Twist for 3 hours!
Anyways, I believe I've said enough, so like I said, all packages are in the mail, and I'll complete any trades, but I won't be starting any new ones for a while.
