As we are already in March 2023 again, i would like to post an update of my ovechkin collection.:foottap:
As Ovi does not sign much anymore, good stuff from upper deck ultimate collection is getting rare lately. :hockey:
I was able to pick up some ultra rare pieces during last weeks (some cards are still at COMC), so i am really happy how it worked out. :thumbsup:

This card was a redemption back in the days. Never saw a (redemption/redeemded) card since release date. I bought several redemptions shortly after release date, but did not find any autographed glove version until 2022. Frustrated, i emailed upper deck some time ago with questioning if card was ever built/redeemded by ovi. Unfortunately they were not able to comfirm that information.
Some weeks ago, a PSA slabbed card showed up on ebay, and it said " autographed jersey". I mailed with the seller and asked for better pics. These pics showed some stitchings, so it might be a piece from a glove...so cool. After some investigations if it might be the right card (with wrong PSA label) we decided to declare it "a piece from a glove". At the end i was able to set up an agreement with the (very kind) seller, and could get them into my collection

Coming to my highlight, maybe my all time favorite card of Alex Ovechkin.
Never saw a copy, then i missed an opportunity months ago, as my ebay resarch did not find them. I was so sad, that card sold at a very reasonable price without of my notice. ed/5, what a mess!
Some weeks later, Lee:beer: messaged me, that an other copy was up for sale, so i was thrilled. That copy was PSA slabbed, and a biddin war started from the beginning.:taz:
But at the end it was not that painful as assumed....
