Hello again :thumbsup:

hope you had a great easter weekend and some sparetime with your family or cardboard.

My last update of my ultimate collection was more than 2 years ago, so i would like to post my postbox breakdown from last week! (two parcels from COMC went in with a lot of stuff).

But before starting i wanted to say sorry for being not much active here on the boards lately...times were busy, my second child Aurel Elian was born in February 2021:banana::beer:

Sorry Mr. Tee (T-Rex) and Josh etc. for being absent!!

Nights have been short, dark circles around the eyes did not disapear anymore:laugh:, in combination with alot of work in hospital not much time for cardboard (unfortunately)...but all in all we are very happy!

Part II: NEW Additions

ITG Vault...this is a tough one to me. Loving these old ITG Heroes and prospects cards so much, some of the are ultra rare, some white wales. So when i came across that one, i decided to pick them up, never know if you ever will get hands on the 2004-05 version. Over all still a very nice card, indeed that stamp is awefull

Now we come to one of my all time favourites. Let me tell you the Story behind…:

Some cards of these ultimate hockey stuff are pretty rare, the Named card was a white whale to me and a member of this great community helped me out.

As i am not on social media platforms like facebook and instagram, i might miss a lot of cards nowadays.

In december 2020 Tim (Redwingsfan11) mailed me through board message, he found Ovechkin/Malkin Ultimate Dual Patch Auto ed/5 on facebook. I could not believe my luck! Tim was such a kind and helpful person! :clap::beer: He managed and contacted the seller and so i could get this beauty into my PC:

Definetely one of the best looking cards i ever found and the background story makes it to a 1 of 1.

Wow, was already a 'great' show and then BOOM at the end with the Stevie Y. Congrats on the pickups, and the new addition to the family!
 
Wow, that Yzerman shield! Was not expecting something like that, jaw dropped at the end for sure. Love the Ovis and that dual with Malkin has a great story, amazing addition for sure!
 
Congrats on all the wonderful additions, if you are going to post quality like that, it's alright if it happens every 2 years, congrats on the second child.

@Arkhive: Steve Y was my favorite player when i was a child! My first jsy card ever was the UD Premier Collection 02/03. From there my collection started to grow. I payed 20$ in cash to a guy in NY (sent money in a plain white envelope:crazy:)...but it worked out. At this time i went to university and had a maximum of 50$ a month to spend for cardboard or something else. I planned: if i will ever have more money to spend i will buy all jersey and auto cards of UD Premier collection 02/03, never dreamed to get a shield or something like that. That was 14 years ago:laugh: Thank you for your comment!

@capsfan: nowadays it is not easy to get any content. Ultimate this year seems to be a horrible product, so expensive. secondary market dries off, only less cards go to ebay anymore. Not sure how to deal with it...
@GregBrown: thank you for your informative posting. Do you have informations how many (prior) owners of that card exist? I did buy it from a very kind person...he had to sell it because of personal reasons, deal was fair for both sides i think!
