Is this for real? It looks like a straight rip off of Topps A&G Baseball. I like A&G, and kudos to UD for bringing something similar to the world of hockey, but I'm still trying to convince myself it isn't a joke. Sounds like retail only as well, which is interesting.

First off, the copy editor needs a beating and a grammar lesson, in that order.

Second: Endangered species? Uh...here's a thought. You leave the bits of the endangered critter WITH the critter - she needs them more than we need the card bearing them.

Third: Looks like fun.

UD has already been doing ridiculous things like pieces of hair and cut up autographs of dead guys in baseball. So it's not really copying A&G anymore.

Does we file this set, if its for real, into the "Just when you thought you'd seen it all" file?

I love A&G cards, I think they're sharp. Like, list a load of dinosaur parts then finish with ... and some hockey players? WOW!

The base card design is as close to A&G as anything else ever put on cardboard. Along with the name - A&G always has 'Champions' base cards sprinkled througout the set.

Beyond the gimmick cards, which too many products have these days, its a lot like A&G - including mini GU & autographs.

first thing i thought too! also, why is hockey players written last? for the fun of it, they should've reduced the font size so it reads like UD's "On Average" statement.

believe it or not, autos and hair samples of the famous is actually a big thing that's heavily collected by alot of people.

I may be after the mastodon tooth card. I've been hunting for one (tooth, not card) the last few times I went to Alaska. They're pretty expensive to buy, and it's fun searching for them. My girlfriend's cousin found one on a beach up there. They're about the size of a Nerf football.

After reading it again, I'm wondering if the Endangered Species cards won't be base cards, or possibly SPs, rather than relics - like A&G. Pluto had a card in this year's baseball set.

The product is called Champ's. He's not the only one who needs the beating and grammar lesson. The apostrophe is only vaguely appropriate, since it's shortening Champions, but I still don't like it.

Wow...this looks...interesting. Half of me wants Upper Deck to really stick it to Topps, and change its name from "Champ's" to something like "Ellen & Gunter"

The design inspiration definitely doesn't come from UD and it can easily be mistaken for A&G had they made hockey cards.

I don't fault UD for getting into the gimmick game as that's brought a lot of exposure to other sports cards.

It's a head scratcher product, but at least it's different from all the other ones. I scratch my head more at what they're doing to the hobby by releasing so many sets every year.

Hockey players and dinosaurs?? why dinosaurs??

if they gonna put somebody with dinosaurs shouldn't it be the NFL players?

I don't even collect baseball and I still love A&G, I would welcome something like this without a doubt, it's unique.

Is this a cross rip off of not only A&G but of sports kings as well, can UD come up with any original thought?
