I used to love when you could actually see the names of the bidders on ebay. Certainly helped to detect the shill bidding. I bid on this item, and lost...

No big deal, it happens.

But, only a few hours later, the same seller lists the card with a BIN?

I could be wrong, and if I am I apologize, but doesn't this just look like the seller was trying to see what he could set the BIN price at?

It's been a while since I've sold on ebay, but what's the advantage of getting $150 through a BIN compared to getting $153 in a regular auction? Perhaps the high bidder backed out and rather than offer it to the second bidder he put it back up... no idea.

I gave up trying to understand what other people were doing and their motivations for it ages ago. In a situation like this, if I'm happy with the price I am willing to pay, I don't worry about the other stuff. Because trying to think like crazy people makes you crazy... lol

Usually, there could be a reason for cancelling the sale (no pay, buyer backs out, seller policy on low feedback winners, etc); however, on this one, I would tend to agree with shill bidding (take a look at the winning buyers summary below):

Probably hoping you come back and snap it up at slightly below the winning bid. I proabbly wouldn't do business with this person and would report them (even though ebay isn't going to do anything).
In regards to BIN/BO, the one thing that I do personally like is that I can control who I sell the item to.
