i mean it's been half as eason and no avery ...anything?
i checked the stats but maybe some ranger fan can shed some insight. Is he doing anything?

i like avery, would have loved it if the habs picked him up.

thanks JAck

missed something?

my question is "isavery doing anything this year as a member of the rangers..other than the stats". i see he is cold, he missed some games to injury.

but i haven"t heard any off ice issues or really anything.

model citizen so far

Law abiding citizen

Hes the Rangers Gerard Butler....

Seriously though he is playing the way he should be playing. Not taking dumb penalties, but still getting under the skin of the other team. He is playing more offensively this year, however the Rags are struggling to find the net so it doesnt show much.

Hes getting quite a few shots, and he is drawing penalties. no problems from me.

Avery is doing just fine in Blue.....Especially last night...The Rangers probably played one of their best games of the season and Avery might have had the best game of his career....He scored 4 points (1 goal 3 assists) 1 of those helpers was highlight real material and IMO one of the best set ups I've seen this year....He was able to do whatever he wanted whenever he wanted to his old Stars team and was really getting under their skin...By the way he also had 12 penalty minutes so he did all this on short time.....He followed the game up with a classic Sean Avery interview as well....When asked "What was different about today's game for you"......Sean replied "Well I was getting paid by both teams".....LOVED IT!!!!

But other then tonights 4 point game he's been Sean Avery.....Getting teams off there game, targeting certain players and causing havoc on the ice while drawing penalties...Its a wonderful thing to have such a dynamic player on your team...Thats points in 9 of the last 10 for the boys in blue!!!....Lets keep this ball rolling and turn this season around!!!

he was on fire against the Stars last night and it didn't matter who he was on the ice with. i think both Niskanen and Turco were stunned at what happened on that one goal. hopefully this is the breakout game that gets him going again. he was always the superpest with a bit of speed and skill to his game. he's just focusing more on hockey for a change.

He got into it with Afinogenov like a typical spot picking disturber, is that what you were waiting for?

Yes he played hockey tonight. Is that what you meant to say? I dont think I heard the announcers even mention his name once tonight. lol. Much different from the other night versus the stars.

They keep showing the replay over and over on the NHL Network, nothing really happened but if he's going to mix it up you know it's going to be against a tough guy like Maxim. Guess you didn't watch the game?

His performance was pretty impressive for sure. I think one of the main reasons we're not seeing any Avery-antics of old is because for one, he has cleaned up his act a bit, and two, Torts is the right coach for him. Torts knows how to handle players like few coaches can in the league.
