What's Wrong With You People"? Canadien's Talk

Pee-Air hates the Habs because Pierre Gauther (assistant Habs GM), the former the Senators GM, had the good conscience to fire McGuire from his job as a bus boy and ship him off to Baton Rouge (ECHL)

Oh that's good stuff.

But for the record. Pierre is probably one of the biggest Canadiens fans on air next to Koulias.

Just wait till they ask for Gainey's head and start romancing the idea of Rejean Houle having another kick at killing the franchise.

Well I'm happy to report that on L'Antichambre (RDS) Dave Morissette (ex Habby) is setting everyone straight on the panel saying that Koivu is a great leader/captain for the team and the city. He said Carbo made many mistakes and going with Gainey/Lever is right. He even got Alain Crete to side with him.

Morissette seems to be the voice of reasons in the French media.

I don't see much changing over on 110% or in La Presse though.

I hear Marinaro will be on 110% tonight.Should be interesting. His french is better than mush for brains Stock but he;s still not very fluent.

They better not EVER allow Tremblay anywhere near the Habs bench. The only thing I remember him ever doing was cause Roy to leave town.

Go with Don Lever, Marc Crawford or Bob Hartley....

Not sure if Roy's first NHL job should be the Habs job... maybe his second NHL job :)

Just want to weigh in here with one comment...Patrick Roy will never be an NHL coach unless he finds some discipline in his methods and actions. Look - I am a fan of Roy's, and I think he was the best goalie that ever lived (or at least top 3), but as a coach, he needs some major seasoning before he guides an NHL team. In fact, if he was not Patrick Roy the owner, he would not be coaching junior yet either.

The french Montreal media is one of the reasons I am no longer a Habs fan (that and the arrival of the sens in my home town). I got so sick of the whining and crying that I just couldn't take it anymore. And you wonder why free agents like Briere don't want to play in Montreal...

And it's no coincidence that they're two of my favourite on-air personalities. What I like too is that neither is afraid to be critical of the team when they feel the team isn't up to snuff. Very much the "my country, right or wrong - when it's wrong, make it right" mentality.

BTW, Shane, did you see that McFarlane is also making a variant/chase version of the Price figure?

Thank God!

As a french reporter, who works in New Brunswick, I can tell you that the 110 % and L'antichambre guys are a shame to the profession.

Those guys are totally biases (like are most of the french reporter on the Habs beat). If you speak french, you're good. If not, you're not. That's as simple as that.

I am more than bored to hear their racial comments. They make me sick and ashame about speaking french and being part of the francophone canadian community.

The worst is: they don't know what they are talking about. They're just chearleaders. Beside language issues, their knowledge about hockey is very very limited.

You don't know how lucky you are to be unable to understand all the stupidities those clowns can say night after night after night.
