Who is the GOALIE in the pic?

I have been picking up hockey cards mostly of the 70’s of action shots OR cards which have a goalie in it.
I started this project as many goalie cards in the 70’s had a card of them selves without wearing a mask…
So I decided to share some pics of these cards. Can you guess the goalie?

Here is the 1st card which is a fairly easy to guess who the goalie is..

I would definitely concur on today's being Ron Low. The white mask is the giveaway for me with its interesting angles. The late 1970s had 2 other netminders wear the number one for the Caps including Gary "Suitcase" Smith and Jim Bedard, but the pic does not look like either.

Denis Herron?

 

[Breakaway Dealz]

This one was a bit harder to guess as the Kansas City Scouts had 5;goalies - Denis Herron, Michel Plasse, Peter McDuffe, Bill Oleschuk & Bill McKenzie. Bill Oleschuk only played 1 game.

Dennis Herron was more known for this mask

which doesn’t seem to match the picture on the card.
However, If you take a look at the picture below of Michel Plasse here he shows on his trapper that he has white just above it. Unlike the goalie on the card

So could it be him?
Compared to Denis Herron, what is the difference? Here is Herron has the white strand on his glove.

Which seems to match the picture. His mask however..is the big difference…
So, did he have a different one? Take a look at these 2 pics.

So who is the goalie? From comparing all of this, yes I do believe that this is Dennis Herron.

I haven't figured it out yet, but my theory is that this is an air brushed photo from Vachon's time with the Kings, and the goalie in the background is a Kings player as well, hence the yellow helmet.
