Monday was a pretty good day for the Game worn collection...
During the morning had some time to waste so I decided to hit up the Florida Panthers Practice. I have been trying to get a pic signed by Huberdeau and a puck signed by kovalev for a couple of friends. Well, the team had the day off and it was only the injured guys skating (Versteeg, Upshall, Weiss, Caruso, and the Goalie was Clemmenson). At the end of the practice Versteeg, Upshall and Coach Gord Murphy were playing a puck shooting game....iit seemed like Versteeg lost....after the game he shot a few more pucks....then slapped his stick against the goal, cracking it. he then skated over to where I was (last person watching) and tossed the stick over the glass....where it hit the wall behind me and broke into 2 pieces. He then went to retrieve his helmet and othe rmisc gear from the bench on the other side of the ice....he looked back over to me and motioned for me to come over to that side...I did. He then told me to come over to the locker room entrace past the NO ADMITTANCE tape. He then proceeded to sign both pieces of the stick. That was very cool and it was GREATLY appreciated!
