Wow PK and Habs got jobbed. This is why a coach's challenge is needed. That was a 2 min slash but refs helpless to correct it.

im joking by the way.
def a penalty, maybe 5 mins. but no misconduct. stone is already back in the game.....pk is pissed

Don't worry Habs fans, I'm sure within a few games (or periods) there will be another worst call of the playoffs against you.

Very true, and it made me laugh. I will say, though, that Subban should have got two minutes for that. He choked up on the stick, but didn't exactly swing with power.

The whole "worst call of the playoffs" thing two periods into the postseason is funny.

Sorry Habs fans, but the worst call of the playoffs so far happened when the Hawks decided to start Corey Crawford instead of any other warm body available to throw on pads.

Good call now give him 2 games. Looked like intent to injure to me! If the worst call of the playoffs is a good call this should be a good playoffs!!!

Dumb penalty by PK. Agree with penalty and a one game suspension. Mental error.
Great victory by Habs. Looking forward to more wins!
Go Habs Go.

Considering how much Stone played after he got hit, which was very little, I'd say he was legitimately in distress, which means the original call on the play was correct (5 min) and unfortunately, the game misconduct on that call is automatic. Probably no supplemental discipline though so I think it worked out appropriately.

I have seen the play over and over and pk hardly touched him and it was a dive job by stone so where's the penalty for that? he has a bruised wrist at most and if he was seriously hurt he would not have been able to come back at all. stone was a guy i respected with his awesome play of late, but now that's all out the window. his comments after the game were not warranted either as with the comments of the coach. pk laid down a love tap if even that and stone went down like he was shot.

And then played very little in a close game just to really sell it eh?

Boy if that was a "love tap" I would really hate to see what a real slash would look like. I'll agree it wasn't a full on baseball swing but still pretty hard. Also I don't think any further discipline is necessary.

I don't think Subban swung with all his might by any means but it was still an incredibly dumb play by him. It looks like he just got him in the sweet spot also. Just above the cuff on the gloves and just below the elbow pad.

All these Habs fans crying about a screw job should ask themselves if they would feel the same way if Karlsson two handed Galchenyuk. And be honest. lol.

Agreed ^^^

That was not a love tap, and was a bonehead play by someone who should know better. Not exactly how you want to start the playoffs

Agreed. Totally different play but when Chara hit Pacioretty (interference with what happened to be a hit in just the wrong area of the arena), the Canadiens were calling for legal action to take place and all that. Now Subban two hand swings on Mark Stone when he didn't even need to at all and its nothing? Double standards. I know we can all be homers but c'mon man. And Subban losing his wits and actin a fool in the hall to the locker room was lol.

Wow, you need to get your eyes checked then. He caught Stone right in the wrist. He left the game 3 separate times to get injected for the pain. He could hardly grip his stick for the rest of the game. It's incredible to me how people can be so blind
