I agree on the first goal, but the only reason we are getting the power plays is because we came out fast and hard and have had Finland on their heels from the get go.
 
I called it to my brother in law, that USA would be in the final, on paper this team is very solid, on ice they are obviously showing it. The only thing I questioned was their overall experience. Other than the CAN / USA game, Miller hasn't really had to work his magic, that is how dominant they have been. Hope it's a CAN / USA final!

I won't completely disagree with this but you do still have to bury the pp chances and I'll give the US full credit for that. I NEVER thought they would beat Finland but then again I never thought Finland would pack it in after the 3rd goal. I would call it a combination of great play by the USA and Finland giving up after being down 3-0.
 
What does America have to do to get full marks? Be up 10-0 after the first? Nabokov played like absolute **** against Canada but Canada got the credit for out-working Russia. :rolleyes:
 
The USA Team has actually gelled together just at the right time. but on the other side of that equation it looks like Finland left for the airport menatally before the game judging by the way they look to be playing, lol.

Did you not see the part where I said the US is playing well? If you watched Finland at all this past week and the way Kipper has been lights-out this is CLEARLY not the same goalie and team that took the ice today.

Hey, I'm just telling it like I see it, I have no preferences of who plays Canada in the final. ;)

I'm picking up a Stastny US jersey, it IS happening.
I know we shouldn't be looking ahead but....Bring on Canada/Slovakia!
 
Bigger surprise: Canada over Russia or USA over Finland? Both were expected to be close and both (assuming the US games continues down this road) are blowouts.

You've been cheering for every team non-Canada for two weeks. You'll have to get one right eventually. ;)

I say no excuses, no bragging until the gold is awarded. The US deserves this one, hopefully it's the best two teams in the finals and it can be settled on the ice. If the US can take it on Canada's home soil I will come here and give them the kudos they deserve.

Now that is very sportsmanlike of you. It will be the game of the year to watch for sure. I think Canada will come out with a vengeance and will be very tough to beat.
