Not for one moment did I think Martin Brodeur wasn't the cause of this blowout Bobbo :laugh:
I also chose to blame Marty for the Swiss losing to you guys and the fact that Austria didn't make it into the draw
You guys have yet to hear some of the conspiracy theories some of geniuses here in Vancouver threw out before the US/Canada game...like Brodeur would step aside and cause a blowout because he was an American citizen...Yzerman built a team that wasn't good enough because he's an American citizen...Brodeur was playing badly on purpose so that the Canadians couldn't make it into the medal round...etc etc. I didn't listen to the radio this morning, but I'm sure Troy in White Rock would've called in and said Brodeur was on the ice handing Marie-Philip Poulin beers last night.
Seriously, they make Tony and Metrags coming into all the Canada GDTs sound like amateurs.

As for the pertinent matter at hand (and I love how canada fans have taken over the USA GDT), it is still 6-0 as the US is just playing keep away for the most part. Finland is picking up their play, but they have no heart at this point.

I don't think you've ever conspired against the Canadian team (the locals here do enough of that already.) It just seems every time there's a negative comment (or backhanded compliment) posted towards the Canadian hockey team or the Canadians on the board during the GDTs, you or Tony are front and center.

Truth be known I'm actually pulling for the U.S.. In no way am I or many others trying to be negative on your team. I am really impressed with the team speed and aggressiveness of the American boys - so much more fun to watch than the trapping style they tried to win with in some of they years past. Youth, speed, and lots of forchecking is great - and will (hopefully) give us a shot at the Gold. I think this is far more than anyone expected out of the US squad but they deserve it.
