I pointed out soem reasons I believe set thopse players apart. The problem is, Mats never set himself apart from the rest of the league. there was always someone better at his position for that year.

See, the problem is the numbers work both ways. Sundins numbers completely dwarf some guys that are already in there.
Federko's 369 goals and 1130 pts.--4 100 point seasons, 1.13 PPG
Gillies' 319 goals and 697 pts (in 958 games).--was a first team All star, 4 Stanley Cups
Lanny Mcdonalds 500 goals and 1006 pts (far less than a PPG).--Stanley Cup, won individual awards
Lafontaines 468 goals and 1013 pts.-----hes debatable
Joe Mullens 502 goals and 1063 pts.---First Team All Star, other individual award
So people can't just say "well, if Dino or Davey Andreychuk aren't in, Mats shouldn't be in either" because clearly a case can be made that looking at the numbers guys like Federko, Gillies, McDonald, etc. put up Mats should definitely be in.
People should also remember Mats can (and will) likely play another couple seasons where he should easily top 600 goals. Couple that with his international credentials (remember, it is the HOCKEY HOF, not the NHL HOF) and he gets in.
The question isn't "if" he gets in it's "when".
