Are u related to anyone in the NHL?

I also used to work a part time job at a grocery store while i was in school with Roberto Luongo's brother Leo.

I actually know the Luongo brother's quite well. The youngest just recently bought an Italian pizzaria which i frequent quite often.
 
The DeBartolo's, former owners of the Pens, are my mom's second cousins. I also used to play with Justin Abdelkader in Muskegon when I was younger.
 
My Dad is second cousin (or something like that) to Red Kelly. I've never met him but would love to sit down and have a chat.

I went to high school, and played golf a few times with Chris Gratton when he was 13 or 14. He handily beat me each time.

Dated a girl, her cousin is Kevin Haller..

Dated another girl and her father use to do construction on the side for fun. Worked on German Titov's house for a bit.

Nothing too exciting.. lol
 
My father used to work with Cedrick Desjardins mother.

Alain Cote (who played with the Quebec Nordiques for ten years) is a distant cousin. I met him three or four times.

As a sports reporter, in Quebec City (that was ten years ago...) I made interviews with Patrick Roy, Jean Beliveau, Steve Bernier (when he was playing midget hockey!!), Patrice Bergeron, Guy Lafleur, Réjean Houle, André Savard, Stephane Robidas, Mathieu Garon, Martin Biron, Roberto Luongo, Mike Ribeiro, Simon Gagné, Antoine Vermette and Corey Crawford to name a few.

In a couple of weeks, I'll be at the late Luc Bourdon golf tournament. I'll get to meet Kristopher Letang, Patrice Cormier and Andrew MacDonald. I heard Alexandre Burrows might be there too, but it's just a rumor...

Though the stories are cool. Randy bullying Joe Reekie in particular made me laugh.

There's not too many of us brown folk in the NHL, so unless Robin Bawa is some distant relative, I got nobody. The only notable family sports tie I have is in golf.

Im actually related to Robin Bawa - my uncles cousin on my moms side of the family
 
My Dad and uncle grew up in Trail BC, they played minor hockey with Ray Ferraro and Steve Tambellini. After playing for the Trail Smoke Eaters my uncle (who could have went pro) almost went with Ray to try out for the Hartford Whalers but opted not to. Oiler's coach Tom Renny is also a good friend of my Dads.
 
A very good friend of mine is the niece of Ken Houston (met him several times and got to meet Pat Riggin too). Went to school with Todd Warriner. He was a few years younger than me......did not know him well, but seemed like a nice guy. Also a friend of mine was the column writer for the Sarnia Sting and he got me a couple of my Sting ticket stubs autographed by Stamkos in his final year in Sarnia......
 
I'm not related to any players/coaches/etc but .....

When I was a kid growing up in Winnipeg,Jerry Butler(not the NYR/Leafs/Nucks one) lived on my street and played road hockey with us "little" kids.

Fast forward to when my son was playing AAA Peewee & Bantam in Winnipeg and he played with/against ...

Mike LeClerc - Ducks/Flames
Jason Botterill - Stars/Flames/Thrashers ... now Asst. GM with the Pens
Craig Millar - Oilers/Preds/Bolts
