huh? Sorry, trying to get out the door for the AS game. What are you asking me?

I always have wondered, ever since auto'd cards have been coming out, what kind of onus is put on a player to get stuff signed and returned? Obviously, some are very good at getting it done, and others obviously couldn't care less. I'm not asking for costs of getting things signed, just wondering how it is that players seem to get away with whatever kind of timeline they feel like, if they return at all. And being too busy is not an acceptable excuse, my work schedule is extreme, as I'm sure are a lot of others here, and I'd still make sure the job got done if I had been paid to do so, as the players have. So, is there actually no avenue of getting them to care whether or not the signing gets done?

Given how many threads there in existence on hobby messages boards bashing UD, Panini, and Topps regarding redemptions, and how few there are criticizing the players....I would think it's safe to say that very little onus is put on the players by collectors.

How regularly the companies contact the players (likely via their agents) to see how those sticker sheets are coming along...that's one for Clint. :)

Here's a concept. Get the autos, put them in the products. That thread wouldn't hit the bottom of the page.

There is a LOT of NO, NOTHING, NOT YET, and ISSUE going on here. Good luck to Pannini when their status turns to NEVER, FORGET IT, I'M NOT SIGNING ANYMORE, and GET LOST. Start pulling all the promised high-end autos now; you'll need them for replacements.

forget the thread then. Panini wouldn't've released anything yet either then. then when they did, people would start complaining how their release for this season's cards are either being released too fast or being released waaay too late into next season. either way, collectors will find something to piss and moan about.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I could care less. It IS a good concept, as proven by other companies (see '72 release), and the rest is just good advice.
