NHL Draft Lottery Simulator

Just tried it five times.

First: Bruins-Canucks-Leafs
Second: Sabres-Coyotes-Leafs
Third: Blue Jackets-Hurricanes-Devils
Fourth: Canadiens-Leafs-Oilers
Fifth: Oilers-Blue Jackets-Sabres

That's a whole lotta randomness.
 
I ran it now for fun and got Leafs, Oilers, and the Devils. In real life the Leafs will probably be out of the top 3, just their fate. :) -Mike

There's another simulator now which says "official lottery combinations"

Ran that one. Got Flames, Nucks, Avs.
 
Just ran it 10 times Oilers won 1st 5 times!!!! Leafs did not get first in ten tries....oh my lets hope they get it tonight. Leaf fans deserve it.
 
So happy right now. This is the only thing us Leafs fans have had to cheer about in a very long time. What would be even sweeter is if they could somehow trade a combination of their stockpile of picks, and prospects to move up to grab Tkachuk to play with Marner. Not sure if that is doable, but worth looking at. They have Pittsburgh's 1st to offer, and have a couple of 2nd's, 3rd's etc, plus lots of prospects they could offer up to go with that pick. Tkachuk, and Marner have some pretty good chemistry together in London. I can only hope they could pull off this miracle.
 
FINALLY. A first overall, franchise-type player to get excited about and build around. And we have Nylander coming up, Marner tearing up the OHL playoffs... This Leaf fan is finally looking forward to something.
 
I'm wondering if they'll go the obvious route and take Matthews or if they'll surprise people by taking Patrik Laine.

Either way, what an awesome problem to have! Go Leafs Go!
 
As a Habs fan....congratulations Leaf nation!!! Finally something for you guys to get excited about!! You have some nice prospects that should be ready for next season!!

I hope Matthews, he's the franchise center we desperately need. Laine is phenomenal too though. It's nice to know we can pick whoever we want instead of picking the "best of the rest" though ;)
 
It'll be Auston Mathews... there's too much face to lose by 'going off the board' if things don't work out.

It's going to be an interesting hobby year next year for sure.

The Leafs have been trying to get a #1 center since Mats left. They will not let the opportunity to get one pass them by to pick a winger. Matthews will go #1.
